When Camp George’s dining hall was lost to a fire during last winter, the team faced a daunting challenge – how to bring camp life back to normal before campers arrived in June.

Beginning in January 2025, Premier Event Tent Rentals stepped in to help reimagine what was possible. Working closely with the camp staff and other suppliers, we designed and built a 6,000 sq. ft. of temporary dining and kitchen space using two large tent structures on a custom platform. In just a few days, a space filled with sadness and tragedy was brought back to life. This new temporary dining hall became the heart of camp once again — a place for laughter, connection, and unforgettable summer moments.

After the first conversation with a member of Camp George, our team quickly visited the site to assess ground conditions, access points, utilities, and sightlines — details that shaped the final design.

Due to the uneven terrain, we engineered and built a custom platform to create a stable foundation for both structures. Over this platform, two large tent structures were installed and configured for efficient food service, dining flow, and camper gatherings.

Working closely with Camp George and other suppliers, we next developed a cohesive plan that balanced safety, functionality, and the camp’s welcoming atmosphere. What started as an urgent challenge soon became a renewed center of laughter, shared meals, and community.

With the project’s success in 2025, Camp George plans to use the space again in 2026.
